Super Saturday Of Sport Needs Help

Appeals for sponsorship and volunteers for the free local event in July

The organiser of the annual Chiswick Super Saturday of Sport has appealed to local companies and businesses to help with financial support for this year's free event in July.

Kirsten Lonsdale, who set up the event five years ago, was sponsored by Lend Lease last year after Hounslow Council redirected funding to another sports event. She has now appealed to businesses to get involved and sponsor the sports day which was enjoyed by over 8,000 children and adults last year.

Kirsten said; "I need more support this year because the event has become so big, and I run it mainly by myself on a voluntary basis, in between work and family committments. I would dearly love people to help set up a committee and/or volunteer to take some of the organisational aspects.

"We have something very special here in Chiswick and I hope we can build on the enthusiasm and local support to enable Super Saturday to be even bigger and better."
