Great Success For Super Saturday Of Sport

Hundreds tried out different activities

The second Super Saturday of Sport was a great success as young and old united to try out different sports in the free event at Turnham Green.

More than forty sports activities were on offer for the Get Active Hounslow day and the weather was perfect.

Here is a selection of photographs from the event which was organised by Kirsten and Andrew Lonsdale and a team of volunteers in an effort to get people enthusiastic about keeping active. You can see more on their website and Facebook pages (see link below).

They pursuaded sports clubs and volunteers, including several local celebrities such as Sebastien Foucan (famous for his James Bond 'baddie' role in Casino Royale ) and local businesses, to give their support.
