Strand on the Green Juniors Maths Team March On

Used teamwork to solve complex conundrums

A team of outstanding mathematicians from Strand on the Green Junior School's Year 6 have made it through to the Regional Semi-Final of the National Young Mathematician Awards.

After a hard-fought hour of taxing puzzles, the team, consisting of Finn, Catherine, Alice and Max excelled, and will now compete against schools further afield in December.

Using teamwork to solve long and complex dice-based conundrums, the team made good use of the time to complete all four sections, and spoke very well when asked by the judges to explain their methods.

The staff and fellow pupils at Strand are very proud of their achievement, and wish them well in the rounds to come.
