Rula Lenska to conduct Grand Opening at June 8th
Local celebrity Rula Lenska conducts the Grand Opening at 1pm on Saturday, 8th June of the St Michael’s Neighbourhood Street Party. The family fun day runs from 1-5pm. Free BBQ followed by afternoon teas. Free sumo wrestling, bouncy castle, craft stalls, face painting, nail bar and table tennis. Live music from rising local band Jacob & Goliath, local singer Alice Clare and Mad About Gospel. Free plant and book stalls; bicycle maintenance from Dr Bike; and free head and back massages. Performances from Grove Park Primary School Choir & The Falcon Pre-Preparatory School Free Zumba classes with Anny. Theatre with St Michael’s Players and an art exhibition featuring work of local artists including Tony Inwood, Pierre Fowell and Matthew Smith. The celebration continues on Sunday 9th June with a Family Celebration Service at 10am. Reverend Martine Oborne, Vicar of St Michael’s Church, says, ‘We hope everyone – of all ages - will enjoy the Street Party and it will be a chance for us all to have fun, make some new friends and share the love of God in our community.
