London Mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey would re-open the Chiswick Police Station if elected in May.

The Conservative Party candidate this week said was to become the next Mayor of London he will reopen all 38 police stations which have closed their doors to the public since Sadiq Khan was elected Mayor in 2016.

He is the second candidate for the Mayoral election to pledge re-opening Chiswick Police station.

Siobhan Benita of the Liberal Democrats told Chiswickw4.com that it was one of her aspirations if elected.

Independent candidate (former Conservative MP and minister) Rory Stewart has plans to triple the number of uniformed officers in London, with a focus on making sure these new officers are placed directly into ward-level policing.

Shaun Bailey has long criticised Sadiq Khan's record on crime, and says that the Mayor has at last been forced to admit that crime is the number one issue for Londoners.

Sadiq Khan has pledged extra resources for the Met in a bid to stop knife crime and a rise in violence on the streets.
