Words And Music Commemorating The Great War

Special event at St Paul's Church, Grove Park

St Paul’s Church, Grove Park, will hold a commemorative concert on Sunday, June 8th, at 7 pm to mark the 100 year anniversary of the start of WWI.

The concert will include readings and poetry as well as diary entries from both British and German soldiers and the music will be a mix of classical favourites and popular songs of the time.

The narration will be by actor Simon Shepherd.

The choir and chamber orchestra will be conducted by Michael Reed.

Doors will open at 6.15pm for drinks in the garden, and then the concert will begin at 7 pm.
