Ruth Cadbury Visits Belmont Primary School
Attends part of the school's successful climate awareness week

Ruth Cadbury MP visited Belmont Primary School in Chiswick on the last day of their climate awareness week last Friday (11 October).
Ruth took part in a question and answer sessions with students telling them about her work in Westminster to tackle the climate crisis, whilst also giving the school a new tree to plant in their garden.
Speaking after the visit Ms Cadbury said, ‘‘It was so inspiring to hear about all the great work, and activities that the students have been doing during climate awareness week. They told me that they’ve learnt so much and how they’re also being eco-friendly at home, with lots of them asking their parents to switch to energy providers who use renewable energy sources.
"They also told me how much they’re looking forward to a safe segregated cycle path, and how they want to be able to cycle more around our local area.
"I know from the stacks of letters I’ve received in my office that so many young people are rightly passionate about tackling the climate crisis, and saving our planet. I’ve been working hard to stand up for our climate- whether that’s by opposing Heathrow expansion, or calling for investment in clean and renewable energy.
I’ll keep working hard in Westminster to push the Government to take the bold steps needed to fix this crisis.’’
