High Tides In Chiswick |

Strand on the Green sees unusually high levels
The current river flow is expected to remain high for the next five days or so and Flood Alerts have been issued for several areas across London, including Chiswick. The unusually high river levels and strong currents are due to the levels of rain- with January predicted to be the wettest month in the past 100 years. Local residents have been taking pictures of the riverside scenes, including this one below taken at The Bull's Head where the ducks are almost at a level with the window ledge.
The locations potentially affected by flooding are Putney Embankment (SW15), Chiswick Mall and Strand on the Green (W4), Thames Bank at Mortlake (SW14), Ranelagh Drive (TW1), Friars Lane and Water Lane (TW9), Riverside and The Embankment at Twickenham, and the Towpath below Teddington Lock.
