Parade to proceed from the Memorial Club to Turnham Green
Remembrance Sunday is a very special event in Chiswick bringing people from all walks of life and background together for the Memorial Parade. This year there will be a revised format.
Chiswick War Memorial
On Sunday 10 November, the march will begin at the Memorial Club around 10:30am and arrive at the War Memorial on Turnham Green at 10:45am, where it will be joined by members of Our Lady of Grace RC Church, Christ Church W4 and many others.
There will be a marching band, parade by uniform groups and wreaths laid on behalf of the local MP, the Mayor of Hounslow and many others.
An outdoor ecumenical service lasting from 10:45-11:15am will be led by Rev Richard Moy. The traditional two minute silence will be at 11 am followed by the laying of wreaths. The Mayor will be represented by Councillor Guy Lambert, Cabinet Member Highways, Recycling and Trading Companies, who will lay a wreath on behalf of the council.
The procession will then head back to the Memorial Club for 11:30am.
All members of the community from all faiths and none are warmly invited to simply turn up on the day.
Email the chaplain of the Royal British Legion Chiswick Branch richard.moy@christchurchw4.com if you’d like to be involved in some way.
Services will be held at nine of the War Memorials across the borough on Sunday. The Mayor and Deputy Lieutenant will be attending two events (in Feltham and Hounslow), with fellow councillors representing the Mayor and the council at the remaining five Services.
The Mayor and Deputy Lieutenant are also aiming to attend every RBL Branch or event across the Remembrance Weekend.
Residents are welcome to attend the Services and watch the parades.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.
Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
We’ve always done that and won’t be changing, in fact we’d like to do more.
However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.
We are therefore asking our readers to consider offering financial support to these efforts. Any money given will help support community and public interest news and the expansion of our coverage in this area.

If neither of these amounts is suitable for you then contact info@neighbournet.com and we can set up an alternative. All payments are made through a secure web site.
One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.
If you do support us in this way we’d be interested to hear what kind of articles you would like to see more of on the site – send your suggestions to the editor.
For businesses we offer the chance to be a corporate sponsor of community content on the site. For £30 plus VAT per month you will be the designated sponsor of at least one article a month with your logo appearing if supplied. If there is a specific community group or initiative you’d like to support we can make sure your sponsorship is featured on related content for a one off payment of £50 plus VAT.
