Chiswick Health Practice Business Manager Wins Award

Sarah Herdman was honoured at the medical industry's General Practice awards

Sarah Herdman, Business Manager, Chiswick Health Practice, has been chosen as Practice Manager of the Year at an industry awards ceremony.

Sarah has worked at the practice, which has over 7,200 patients, for just over two and a half years.

Prior to that she worked for Hounslow Clinical Care Group for fourteen years.

Sarah told chiswickw4.com; "The award means everything to my team and the practice-that's the important thing."

Chiswick Health Practice is based in Fisher's Lane GP centre and has three partners and two salaried doctors as well as the rest of the team.

Sarah described herself as "very surprised" to be nominated.

"I love working here, the practice has a great approach to patient care. The staff are very holistic in their approach," she commented.

Sarah won the award against stiff competition at the 11th annual General Practice Awards at a glitzy ceremony held at the Park Plaza Westminster hotel in central London.

Her work at the practice has resulted in the reduction of over 600 hours of GP time a year.

She has also taken up a leadership role with relish, working closely with Hounslow CCG and heading up her local practice manager’s forum.

The General Practice Awards – held each year by Management in Practice’s parent company Cogora – shines a light on the remarkable work carried out by Britain’s primary care professionals every day.

Unfortunately due to other committments Sarah was not able to receive her award in person on the night but other members of the team were there to represent her and the practice.
