Customers assured regular interruptions to supply will no longer occur
Frustrated residents of North Chiswick who have been experiencing regular interruptions to their electricity supply are being assured that the source of the problem has been identified. Power cuts started to occur in homes in the area around Southfield Park beginning on 20 February and interruptions reoccurred on the same circuit on 6, 12, 13 and 17 March. Utility company SSE said, “We notified customers in the area on 11 March via a letter send out, alerting them to the issues occurring with the circuit, our efforts to locate and repair the circuit as quickly and safely as possible, and informing them of our Priority Services Register, which provides free additional support for customers who may become vulnerable during a power cut. “Our engineers has since been successful in locating and repairing the fault and rogue circuit, and no further disruptions or interruptions are anticipated at this time.” You can join the company’s priority services register if you are elderly, have children under 5 in the household or have certain medical conditions. This gives you a dedicated 24 hour priority services phone number and priority updates during a power cut. To register for priority services click here.
