New Production of Parsifal for Chiswick |

Elemental Opera perform Wagner's opera in St Michael and All Angels
Chiswick singer Cecilia Bailey is part of the cast of the Wagner opera Parsifal, playing for three dates, October 22, 27 and 29 at St Michael & All Angels Church, Bath Road. Cecilia, who hopes to have a career in opera, plays the role of Kundry in this five-hour long production The cast includes several Royal Northern College of Music Alumni, and they all live and work in London bar Adam Leftwich who lives in the Czech Republic.
The production is directed by Mark Burns with Musical Director Michael Thrift, it is sung in English to a new translation. Tickets are £20, with £15 concessions. Performances start at 5 pm and last five hours with two intervals. Parsifal (WWV 111) is an opera in three acts by Richard Wagner. It is loosely based on Parzival by Wolfram von Eschenbach, a 13th-century epic poem of the Arthurian knight Parzival (Percival) and his quest for the Holy Grail (12th century).
