Call For Local Donations For NHS Drive For Hospitals |

Donations of foods and toiletries to St Michael's Church Centre, Elmwood Road
The Covid Mutual Aid group which supports vulnerable and/or self-isolating W4 residents during the current crisis, is running an NHS Drive to provide supplies to Imperial Health Charity hospitals. The local donation centre is St Michael's Centre, Elmwood Road (see below for details). They are seeking donations of non-perishable, sealed food: e.g. pasta, biscuits, snacks for medical workers to eat on shift (without nuts/nut traces) and no home-made/baked food items, as well as beauty products/toiletries: especially hand cream with pump dispensers, toothbrushes, sanitary products, deodorant etc. The charity is seeking these donations to support NHS staff and patients. The donations will be available to staff in on-site hospital stores and breakout areas for staff to recuperate in after an extremely long shift. Items can be left at a collection centre at St Michael’s Church Centre, next to St Michael’s Church, 60 Elmwood Rd, London, W4 3DZ, which will be open and staffed for donations from 1 – 5pm SATURDAY 18 and SUNDAY 19 of April (both days) Please follow health and safety advice beforehand for donations, including: Seal items in a plastic bag for 24 hrs before bringing them to the church The Covid-19 Mutual Aid groups help with with collecting shopping, phone calls and misc. errands. They are organised in street-level groups whose members support their neighbours in a more informal sense, and also as one central Chiswick group to develop initiatives with help from people across the area.
