The next Maiastra concert will take place on Saturday 14 December 2019 at 7.30 pm at The Musical Museum, 399 High Street, Brentford.

Shostakovich Quartet No 7 in F# minor, Op 108

Brahms Quartet No 3 in B♭ major, Op 67

Admission is free but there will be a retiring collection in aid of the Aidan Woodcock Charitable Trust which provides training and support for young players.

The group's name 'Maiastra' takes its name from a bird in Romanian folklore with miraculous powers. The Trust logo is based on some early folk drawings of the mystical legendary bird, said to bring back youth to those who are fortunate to hear its beautiful song.
