Three very different retailers in Chiswick have been recognised for their individuality and flair. The Good Wine Shop and Marmalade Jewellers have received industry awards and Outsider Tart, the quirky cafe on Chiswick High Road, has been featured on ITV as one of Britain's Best Bakeries. The Good Wine Shop came in the top three independent drinks retailers in the country at the Drinks Retailing Awards (DRA)-at the Dorchester Hotel -the top prize went to Selfridges. Off Licence News described the shop as having “…around 900 wines – plus an impressive selection of craft beers and top-end spirits. The shops are attractive and modern with a passionate and well-informed team on hand to give customers expert advice.” Owner Mark Wrigglesworth, who opened in Chiswick in 2012 said: “I’m really delighted we’ve come so close to winning this award. We’ve put in a lot of effort – at both Chiswick and Kew - to expanding the breadth and quality of our wine, beer and spirits range over the last year and it’s great to have that recognised. We were also chosen for our excellent customer service which is something I believe sets us apart. It was a really tough category. Well done to Selfridges who won.” www.thegoodwineshop.co.uk Marmalade Jewellery have once again been recognized in the Retail Jewellery magazine’s list of 'Inspiring Independents' . So a massive thank you to the team, Janina, Sonia, Lucy, Hannah and Lilet, and also to the good and great people of Chiswick for your continued support."
