Local family making cycle trip for charity
Local family the Listers are undertaking a holiday with a difference this year, in aid of a charity which helps orphaned and vulnerable people in sub-Saharan Africa. Catherine, Jamie, Joe and Hamish plan a gruelling cycling trip from Lands End to John O'Groats, to raise money for We See Hope, a charity that supports orphaned and vulnerable young people in sub-Saharan Africa and which is run by their friend Mark.
Last year, Hamish's shoulder injury forced them to postpone their trip until this year when they are gearing up again to head off on July 16th, and hoping to raise a bit more money for We See Hope. If you didn't get a chance to donate last year, now's your chance! Any amount will be really helpful to the charity so please give what you can afford. Some examples of how your money will be spent: - £10 could purchase carpentry training materials for a street child in Kenya - £25 could buy a goat and veto nary support for a household in Tanzania - £50 could establish a community food garden in Malawi.
