Former Cabinet Minister discusses his life, at St Paul's Church, Grove Park
Former MP and Cabinet Minister Jonathan Aitken is to give a talk at St Paul's Church, Grove Park, W4 3SB on Thursday, 16 May at 7 pm. He will discuss his life, including his time as an MP, going to prison and how he came to Christian faith. He was ordained last June at St Paul’s Cathedral by the Bishop of London and now combines being a curate at St Matthew’s Westminster with being a chaplain at HMP Pentonville. Jonathan is the author of seventeen books including
award-winning biographies of John Newton (the author of Amazing Grace
), Richard Nixon and Margaret Thatcher. He is also a well-known broadcaster
and columnist for the Times and other newspapers. The bar will open for refreshments at 6:30pm. Retiring collection for Tempus Novo , the Offender Rehabilitation Charity founded by Jonathan Aitken and two prison officers, which has just won The Criminal Justice Charity of The Year Award.
