Due to concerns over the current Covid-19 virus
Concern over the Covid-19 , also known as the Coronavirus, has led to the postponement of 'The Hidden Horticulturists' talk which was due to be given next Monday, 16 March, at the Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place, W4 2EL. The guest speaker, Fiona Davison has agreed to give the talk on 19 October instead. The event is part of the series of talks organised by the Brentford & Chiswick Local History Society. The organisers said on their website; "After a careful discussion we have agreed with our speaker that it would be best to postpone her talk on 'The Hidden Horticulturists'. We believe it is a wise precaution to avoid infection while the nature and rate of the spread of Corona Virus is unpredictable. "This means that we will not have a B&CLHS meeting on 16 March. We are sorry to disappoint members and others who were planning to come along but we hope to reschedule the talk as part of our future programme."
