Local School Wins Praise For Travel Plan Poster

William Hogarth Primary received Gold Accreditation

Children at The William Hogarth School have achieved the outstanding Gold accreditation for their School Travel Plan - the highest level that is awarded in the contest.

The School Travel Plan, a LB Hounslow and TfL initiative, is to reduce car use on the journey to/ from school to not only reduce congestion and air pollution but to improve the health of pupils by encouraging them to be more active and to make the area around the school safer. Walk To School week takes place between May 18-May 25.

Winners of the Hounslow Borough Design a Wall Chart Competition.

The school is extremely proud of the Year 6 pupils whose outstanding design, pictured below, was chosen as the winner. The poster will be used by all schools in the borough taking part in the Walk To School week.
