A Vietnamese restaurant, Caphe Guests is opening on the site of the former Blueberry cafe and a new gelateria is putting the finishing touches to its new premises on the former Baskin Robbins shop on the Chiswick High Road.

Meanwhile popular boutique Blink has posted a Closing Down sale on its front door. Staff say they have been told the closure in two weeks is for refurbishment. Blink, which sells fashion, bags and jewellery has ten branches in London and Surrey and has been in business since 2002.

The new Vietnamese restaurant Caphe Guests will offer a 20% discount on its menu as part of an opening offer.

Meanwhile Oddono's Italian ice cream shop will be a rival for Chiswick favourite Fouberts. Oddono's started trading in July 2004 in South Kensington where it still produces its gelato using in-house recipes.

The chain , which has five London branches, was set up by Christian Oddono, whose grandmother used to make homemade gelato in Italy. The company say 'Life is too short to eat bad icecream' and they offer 130 flavours, ranging from cinnamon, basil, chocolate and vodka, to bestsellers Nocciola (hazelnut) Pistachio and of course Chocolate. They also sell sorbets with Mango, strawberry and coconut among the favourites with customers.
