Violin & Piano Recital At St Paul's Church Grove Park |

Music by Schubert, Corelli, and Ivor Novello
A free concert will be given by two prestigious local musicians at St Paul's Church, Grove Park on Sunday, 14 October at 7 pm. John Kitchen, who has worked with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and is a former leader of the National Symphony Orchestra in Ireland, will be playing violin. He has also worked with the English Chamber Orchestra, and nowadays concentrates on teaching and his philanthropic work through music with all age groups. He is a previous leader of the K3A Orchestra, which rehearses in St Paul's Church. David Snell, a pianist who has also worked as a classical and jazz harpist (Royal Opera House Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra), will also be performing. David has conducted numerous film scores including Chocolat, Cider House Rules and Nicholas Nickleby and he is also a classical composer. His Requiem was performed in 1997 at St John's Smith Square. david's Sonatina for flute and guitar will be recorded later this year. The music will include a selection from Schubert, Corelli, Tartini, Ivor Novello and others. The concert is free with donations welcome. It will last about an hour.
