Food hygiene inspectors say it needs Major Improvement
Well-known Chinese restaurant Singapore Gardens has received a lukewarm report following from a recent visit by Food Hygiene inspectors. The restaurant at 474 Chiswick High Road was awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 1 (Major Improvement Necessary) by Hounslow Council inspectors on 9 October, 2017. Both Food Hygiene and Safety and Structural Compliance were rated as "Poor" with "Confidence in Management" rated as "Little". The restaurant which is a long-time business in Chiswick, lists itself as serving authentic south east asian cuisine, including Singaporean & Malaysian. A second Singapore Garden restaurant at Fairfax Road, south Hampstead, also received a rating of 1 in an inspection last August. Food Hygiene Inspection reports do not list the reasons for their ratings, so it is not always possible to ascertain what problems were found. We asked Singapore Gardens if they wanted to make any comment on the inspection result. November 18, 2017 |
