On Saturday January 9th, from 10am to 3.30pm at St Michael & All Angels, you are invited to Exploring the Icon - a day with the Director of the Bethlehem Icon Centre, Ian Knowles, renowned Icon painter and Director of the Bethlehem School of Icon Painting.

Ian Knowles will explain how icons are made, how they work as religious art, their place in Christian liturgy and their significance for Christians facing extinction in the Middle East.

The programme includes a talk on how icons work, how icons are made,on the survival of Christian Middle Eastern culture, and an Ecumenical Evening prayer
