Sigurd The Dragon Slayer at the Tabard Theatre |
Adventure based on an old Viking Tale, for all the family Chiswick based theatre company Klevamunki present Sigurd, The Dragon Slayer which plays at Tabard Theatre from 19 December for ten performances over the Christmas season. Based on the old Viking tale, Klevamunki incorporate music, dance, puppets and panto-esque audience participation for a compelling and beautiful story for children of all ages. Sigurd is too young to go off adventuring, or so his mum says, but when he meets the master blacksmith Regin his dreams come true. Tricked into a quest for a mountain of treasure by Regin, Sigurd will face many dangers, but he's too excited to be frightened. Klevamunki is a local based company headed by Peter Machen, who has over twenty years experience of developing and performing shows for all ages. Using many performance techniques such as dance, mask and puppetry Peter has produced an eclectic mix of shows, which have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and all around the UK. With talking birds, viking gods, magic swords and a very funny dragon, Sigurd the Dragon Slayer is an adventure for the whole family and plays a limited run at the Tabard Theatre.
