New Richard Harris play sees three actors taking the role of Liza Minnelli
'We're going to have some songs, some dance, some facts and, who knows, maybe some fiction.' Liza Minnelli The Tabard Theatre will present the world premiere of Richard Harris' new play, Liza Liza Liza from 5 – 29 September 2013. Sabrina Carter, Felicity Duncan, Stephanie Ticknell-Smith Three actors will take the role of Liza Minnelli at specific moments in her life. 'Liza 1' will be Stephanie Ticknell-Smith, 'Liza 2' will be played by Sabrina Carter and 'Liza 3' will be played by Felicity Duncan. The production is directed by Phil Willmott, designed by Colin Mayes and lighting design by Miguel Vincente. Felicity Duncan is best known for portraying the role of Rosie in MAMMA MIA! and appearing in the West End and touring production of Fiddler on the Roof. Sabrina Carter was most recently seen in the West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors playing the role of Christine. She has also appeared in The 39 Steps and Wicked. Playwright Richard Harris (Outside Edge, The Business of Murder) worked with Liza Minnelli in 1991 when she was cast in the film adaption of his award winning play Stepping Out. In his new play, Harris unearths and examines the tremendous and tragic tale of Liza's journey so far using interview and biographical quotes from Liza herself. 'Regrets is something I don't do. I don't see the point thinking about what I should have done, could have done, might have done.' Liza Minnelli Harris said, 'Celebrities come and go every hour. Liza's story is different. It covers nearly every corner of the showbusiness world. Now that's a challenge to achieve. Even for the biggest stars out there. And yet she's still here. Entertaining the world - onstage and off.
