Biggest ever Christmas production from local theatre group
'Treasure Island' is the Christmas production of the St Michael's Players, running from 10 to 14 December. Long John Silver may be a dastardly villain, but he’s reckoned without the Ladies of St Michael's Players Women’s Institute. This is the group’s largest cast pantomime and a madcap, laugh a minute pirate adventure story is promised from start to finish. They've new faces, new talent and an ocean of panto magic in the wind The production will be staged at St Michael's Centre, Elmwood Road. Tickets are now on sale at £7 in advance or £12 on the door. There is Tuesday show this year because the Thursday performance on 12 December had to be cancelled due to the general election. Performances are at 7:45pm plus a Saturday matinee at 4pm. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain. St Michaels’ Players is one of London’s longest-standing drama groups and celebrated its 70th anniversary this year. The non-professional theatre company, based at St Michael’s Centre, Elmwood Road, Chiswick, performs four plays a year, welcomes up to 1200 audience members and is a cherished part of the local community.
