Special fundraising afternoon in aid of The Children’s Society
Christingle 3.30pm Sunday 5th December 2010 In 1747 the Moravian Church in Germany invented the Christingle: a symbolic gift for children to celebrate Advent in a festival of lights and a feast of sweets. The newly-formed Children’s Church Council at St Michael’s (Sutton Court) is organizing this special fundraising Christingle in aid of The Children’s Society. WHERE: St Michael’s Church, Elmwood Road, Grove Park, W4. The Children’s Society is a UK based charity that helps disadvantaged children around the UK. www.childrenssociety.org.uk
