Our Lady of Grace & St Edwards Charity Fund Raiser
Keen amateur photographers, snap-happy parents and enthusiastic youngsters are all invited to enter this summer's photography competition with a “My Chiswick” theme. The competition is being held by Our Lady of Grace and St Edward in the lead up to their parish fair on Saturday July 8th 2006. Entries should capture the enjoyment of spending time in Chiswick – whether it’s out and about enjoying open-air activities, spending time at home or in the garden, or simply enjoying a community event, sipping cappuccino or climbing trees. Chiswick based professional photographer Mark Bury, who will be one of the judges, said “I would like to see images which do justice to one of the best places to live in London. Photographs that really capture the sense of the area. So let your creativity run wild and get snapping!” To fire the imagination and get the ball rolling, here are Mark’s top tips:
The deadline for entries is Friday 23rd June 2006. Prizes, including a training session from an award-winning photographer and a Fuji finepix A400 Digital Camera,
will be awarded to: Entries will be judged by Photograher Mark Bury, Andy Sands of Chiswick Camera Centre, John Fitzgerland of Snappy Snaps and Emma Brophy of ChiswickW4.com. Winning entries will be published on the ChiswickW4 website and on show at the summer fair on Turnham Green. “My Chiswick” will then move to The Chiswick Moran Hotel where the winning entries will be exhibited for a period of two weeks.
