Macmillan Cancer Support asks local people to go for a walk to raise money
Macmillan Cancer Support is suggesting a unique way to honour a friend or relative's memory and raise funds for local people affected by cancer at the same time. The charity is asking all Londoners to take part in Macmillan Cancer Relief's Walk Wonders, supported by npower. Megan Potter, Macmillan Fundraising Manager, said "We think this is a simple way to get together with friends, relatives or colleagues enjoying a walk in a favourite spot in honour of the person they have lost. It is also an opportunity to raise funds to help Macmillan provide vital care for Londoners affected by cancer.
Walk Wonders events can be held anytime between 19-21 May. The free information pack is full of ideas on how to get involved.
