This Chiswick-based seven piece band was formed by brothers Tom and Syd Spencer in Summer 2003, for a tribute gig to their late father singer/songwriter and novelist John B. Spencer. Public reaction and the feeling of doing the right thing, ensured that what was meant to mark an ending, was in fact the heralding of a new era.

Their debut eponymous album was released on Robb Johnson's Irregular Records in 2004. Since its release Fastlane Roogalator have appeared at the Glastonbury, Trowbridge, Sidmouth and Rhythm Festivals. The band has now evolved into a more permanent line-up (bolstered by third brother William on melodica and keyboards). New tracks have been recorded for their second album - which will be released later this year. Their live shows are hectic and energetic affairs, with a good time atmosphere. Influences are a raggle-taggle collision between John B. Spencer; Johnny Cash and The Clash.

Support act is The Men They Couldn't Hang's Swill, performing a solo set.
