If you are still short of ideas for Christmas presents, Chiswick Pier Trust may have a solution
They are currently selling tickets for a jazz cruise along the River Thames taking place in the new year.
The trip will begin at Chiswick Pier at 7pm on Friday 14 January and sail to Westminster and back.
Experience the joy of the music and watch the magic of the lights twinkling on the riverbanks as you sail down the river and back on a warm cosy boat.
On board to serenade you during the cruise will be jazz band Anacousis and a two-course hot buffet supper will be served. Also a selection of drinks can be bought from the bar.

Looking further ahead, there will be a watercolour workshop at Chiswick Pier House with Julia Cassels on Wednesday 2 March, an afternoon tea cruise for Mothering Sunday on 27 March and the Boat Race is due to be held on Sunday 3 April. Details of all these events will be released shortly.
The Trust is also in the process of putting together a programme of talks for 2022, which will continue to be delivered as webinars. Although pre-covid its talks have been held in person in the Pier House it was found that webinars had a number of advantages including reaching a larger and wider audience than possible in the hall, and being able to record them so that they can be made available for the first time on the website.
Chiswick Pier Trust is a charity and we are looking at ways to expand its charitable remit by reaching more residents in the borough and surrounding areas and is current looking for more trustees. The Chiswick Pier Trust runs the Chiswick Pier and Pier House. In this role it manages the commercial and residential moorings at the Pier, as well as venue and conference hire at Pier House.
The trust works to engage people with the River Thames. It provides access to the Thames and support major river events, as well as organising events of its own. It also hosts an annual season of 'Talks by the Thames' which highlight the history, wildlife and ecology of the Thames.
