WINTER PROGRAMME OF EVENTS 2010/11

NOVEMBER

Saturday November 13th, cruise to see the Lord Mayor’s fireworks at 5pm.

Tuesday November 23rd at 7.30pm, Thames Tideway Tunnel update.

JANUARY 2011

Tuesday January 25th at 7.30pm The Archaeology of The Thames including the latest exciting discoveries at Strand on the Green. A talk by Eliot Wragg, Thames Discovery.

MARCH

Thursday March 17th at 7.30pm The Battle of the Blues. Christopher Dodd, rowing correspondent and historian at the River & Rowing Museum, Henley-on-Thames has written several rowing histories and will regale us with fascinating facts about the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race before this year’s race on:

Saturday March 26th at 5pm Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race.

APRIL

One Saturday morning in April, 2/3 hour walk, date tbc Bird Walk with Keith Martin to hear beautiful bird song and find out about our wonderful wildlife along the Thames.

The talks take place at the Pier House, Corney Reach Way, W4 and are free to members, £5 for non-members. Please see http://www.chiswickpier.org.uk for more details.
