Immersive experience to be staged in gardens in October
Chiswick House and Gardens has announced a partnership with Sony Music which will see an illuminated Halloween trail installed later this year. The immersive experience which will be open between 14 and 31 October will be aimed at families during the half-term holiday. A variety of spooky installations will be placed across the grounds and a route laid out for visitors to follow. You’ll have to duck for cover from the swarm of neon spiders, in a garden filled with creepy neon cobwebs, ghastly ghouls and other ominous characters. Installations will include an illuminated statue avenue, demon trees, a haunted graveyard and a witch’s lair, whilst there will also be live actors and fire performers. The trail is created by Culture Creative. Rozanna Colquhoun, senior commercial manager at Chiswick, said, “We were drawn to the concept of hosting a Halloween trail as it’s a fun, interactive event that showcases the gardens in an innovative way, highlighting the historical features of the gardens with a spooky Halloween twist. “We’re most looking forward to seeing visitors experience the gardens after dark. We usually close at dusk, so this is an exciting opportunity to come in and experience the gardens like never before; lit in a unique way. The perfect half term outing.” Chiswick House & Gardens director Xanthe Arvanitakis said, "We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Sony Music to host a very special Halloween family experience this year. An amazing opportunity to explore the gardens at night and see a trail filled with innovation and fun– expect to be spookily surprised!" Tickets are on sale now for timed entry and early booking is advised. They cost £16.50 for adults with children (3-16) getting in for £12 and family tickets available at £54.
