Julian Gallant will fight to win back the seat from sitting MP Rupa Huq
Conservatives in the Ealing and Central Acton constituency have selected their prospective parliamentary candidate for the next General Election, professional musician Julian Gallant. He will fighting to gain the seat, which covers parts of the north of Chiswick, back for his party from Labour's Rupa Huq. Julian has lived in Acton since 1998 and says he really loves the community with its diverse population, elegant architecture and parks. It’s where he's worked and brought up his family. Julian is a professional musician who has travelled the world conducting orchestras and playing concerts on the piano. He has also run his own company, managed a central London building for a cultural charity and served for three years as a TA soldier. Julian is a trustee of Acton Charities, helping local families with grants of household goods and equipment. He has also been a governor at the Ark Priory and Ark Byron Primary Academies in Acton. “There is lots to do, not least getting Brexit resolved quickly” said Julian. “However we voted, no one wants to be talking about it forever because we need to get on and deal with much more serious issues like violent crime, homelessness and pollution. Everybody is touched by these problems and your MP can make a real difference.” Julian adds that he is looking forward to serving residents of Ealing Central and Acton and to representing them in Parliament.
