The ticket office at Gunnersbury Station has closed as of Saturday 23 December. In future tickets must be purchased at the new ticket machines installed at the station by Transport for London (TfL).

The ticket office had been scheduled to close last year but received a stay of execution for several months.

London Travel Watch had agreed to lift its objections to the proposals after London Underground (LUL) offered to delay the closures until new and improved ticket machines were installed and working. The RMT Union had also lobbied against the plans to close ticket offices in several locations.

TfL said, "We have installed new and improved ticket machines at Gunnersbury station and the ticket office will be closed from Saturday 23 December. This is part of our plans to modernise the Tube.

"You can use the new machines to:
• Get a new Oyster card
• Add a 7 Day or Monthly season ticket to your Oyster card
• See your journey history
• Buy/collect National Rail tickets and Travelcards
• Add a discount to your Oyster card (with staff assistance)

"Our staff can help you with the new machines. They can also assist with real-time service information, journey planning, ticket options and fares "
