Lendlease Begins Clear Up Of Traveller Encampment |

Say security has been upgraded at the site beside Sainsbury's Site on Saturday through a gap in the fence
A clean up of the Lendlease-owned site vacated by the group of travellers recently has been taking place during the week. A large amount of building waste and other trash had been deposited at the encampment and as Lendlease is the private owner of the site, it is their responsibility not Hounslow Council's, to dispose of it. Lendlease said they had taken steps to upgrade the security at the site, and a guard dog was in evidence this week. They stated "At Lendlease the safety of our people and the communities in which we work is our number one priority. Our site at Chiswick has 24-hour security protection and we are looking to enhance the physical security measures to help prevent trespassers entering the site." Piled up rubble ad building waste can still be seen inside the site (see
photo above) but a source said that the site would take some days
to fully clear. Group
