Visit all sixteen of the events held in their ward

Despite Southfield ward having the highest number of Platinum Jubilee street parties in Ealing borough, the local councillors pledged to visit every single one.
The three Liberal Democrats, Andrew Steed, Gary Malcolm and Gary Busuttil, had a gentle introduction with just three events being held on Friday and Saturday at Speldhurst Road, Temple Road and Brookfield Road. However, things kicked off in earnest on Sunday (5 June) when they had to travel between 13 events. Some of the streets where parties took place on this day were: Bayham Road, Beaumont Road, Blenheim Road, Dordrecht Road, Esmond Road, Fielding Road, Graham Road, Kingswood Road, Queen Anne’s Grove, Ramillies Road, Rusthall Avenue, Whellock Road and Woodstock Road.
They took the opportunity to thank the organisers of each event.
Councillor Gary Malcolm, Liberal Democrat Opposition Group Leader, said, “The Liberal Democrat Councillors said it was great to see the Southfield community coming together to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Many happy memories were made: the neighbourly spirit is well & truly alive in Chiswick & Acton! We baked some chocolate chip cookies and gluten free lime drizzle cupcakes for the street parties who wanted more sweet treats. Thank you for your hospitality, warm smiles and the great time spent organising and setting up the street parties.”
