Local primary school's 'dry, weedy beds' get some much needed attention

This month’s school to get the Kitchen Garden treatment was Strand-on-the-Green.

With financial support from HSBC, the Kitchen Gardeners turned their attention to a couple of dry, weedy beds at the back of Strand-on-the-Green’s playground.

"It was very hard going, but by the end of the day there were three gleaming new beds, surrounded by new paths, ready for planting up," Karen (pictured above far right) told ChiswickW4.com.

Sue Harrison, Headmistress of Strand, checked on progress during the day, and pronounced herself thrilled.
