Closure is to allow crane to install site office at Chiswick Cinema site
Chiswick High Road is to be closed this Sunday morning (14 July) to allow access for a crane to work on the Chiswick Cinema construction site. The cinema say that it has been agreed that the road will be closed in front of the site from 7am to 11am. Access to nearby side roads including Upham Park Road and Ennismore Avenue will not be affected. The crane is needed by contractors Conamar to install their site offices. Display signage has been placed nearby the location at 94-98 Chiswick High Road. We have not received details of bus diversions from TfL but signs placed in the area suggest that affected routes such as the 267 will be diverted along Acton Lane, South Parade and Bath Road to rejoin the High Road. This could lead to significant tailbacks as there is currently three way signalised control at the roundabout at the junction of the Avenue and South Parade. We have not been informed if the signals will be in place this Sunday.
