Work relating to Transport for London's (TfL) upgrade of the Hogarth Flyover will require the closure of the A316 (Burlington Lane) for five nights this week.

From Wednesday 6 August for five nights, cranes will be working on a section of the carriageway near Boston Gardens, Chiswick to install the new deck panels. To enable this work, the A316 southbound will be closed between 10pm until 6am on Wednesday 6, Thursday 7, Friday 8 and Sunday 10 and Monday 11 August.

TfL say the works will not affect the Prudential Ride London road race on Sunday 10 August. Signed diversions will be in place to guide drivers around the works and access to local roads will be maintained at all times.

The closure of the Hogarth Flyover has led to substantial traffic congestion in the local area.

TfL says the closure of the Hogarth flyover was needed for essential repairs so engineers can replace the deck, repair parapets steelwork, and improve lighting on the slip road.
