Winds Blow Tree Down on Dukes Avenue | |||||
Disruption to traffic as tree falls on road
The strong winds which blew through Chiswick brought down this large tree on Duke's Avenue on Tuesday (January 3rd). The gusts, which reached speeds of up to 50 miles per hour, caused travel chaos in some parts of the country, including Heathrow Airport. Nobody was injured in the incident although the falling tree came down on a road sign and disrupted traffic. Council workmen later removed the tree which allowed traffic to flow freely once more.
