On Wednesday 23 January from 7.30pm at the George IV pub in Chiswick High Road, RNLI Chiswick will present a talk on Osterley House by Peter Bush.

Originally built as a manor house for famous city banker, Thomas Gresham, Osterley House was later acquired by banker Sir Francis Child whose grandsons employed fashionable architect Robert Adam to transform the house into one of London's most splendid 18th century neoclassical masterpieces. The Child family were closely involved with the East India Company from where much of their wealth emanated and many indian treasures lie within the house.

Dr Peter Bush will explore the fascinating history and story of the house and its various owners. Osterley is now owned and managed by the National Trust.

All proceeds to the RNLI. Drinks and pub food/snacks available before and after the talk.

Tickets £10 via Eventbrite. All proceeds to the RNLI. Drinks and pub food/snacks available before and after the talk.

Ob Wednesday 6 February, the RNLI's ever-popular and ever-hilarious comedy night is back. There will also be a raffle draw during the evening with loads of fantastic prizes.
On 12 February at the same venue there is a talk by environment champion Kiko Matthews. Following the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, Kiko decided to challenge herself by attempting to row the Atlantic.
