Local crew pull dead woman from the Thames

Chiswick RNLI was called on 9am last Thursday with a report of a body sighted in the Thames.

The lifeboat was launched and the crew found a body floating in the centre of the river near the Stag brewery in Mortlake.

As there were many rowers in the vicinity they pulled the body to the foreshore to await the arrival of the River Police. The River Police removed the body which was then landed at Chiswick Pier.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the police are not regarding the woman's death as suspicious.
