Offices and flats will overlook Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve
Plans for a new development of offices and flats at 500 Chiswick High Road have been approved by Hounslow Council. Developers London Newcastle are replacing the existing offices and buildings at 30-32 Chiswick Road with new office space and 61 new homes including 5 houses and flats some of which will have roof terraces overlooking the Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve. The townhouses will have 3 storeys, with an additional basement, and would run perpendicular to the residential properties on Chiswick Road. These will have private gardens at the rear and each townhouse would have a front door from the shared courtyard space or from Chiswick Road. Each townhouse has a private parking space. Three of the units in the development will be affordable housing. The plan also includes a central communal-open green space and underground private parking. The current red office building will be removed, including the tall eastern tower. The developers say that the new building will be stepped in height and 'similar' in height to IAM House next door (510 Chiswick High Road). February 12, 2014 |
