Members of Chiswick Area Planning Committee granted permission for motor company Sui Generis to transform the old Dairy Crest Site into a car dealership.

The Sutton Lane North site is currently occupied by a number of dilapidated buildings which previously formed the dairy and used by Porsche - without authority to do so - for vehicle storage.

The rival car company will demolish the existing buildings and build a new car dealership with workshop, maintenance areas, parking and new access.

Whilst considering the plans, CAC members said that they believed the development had strong environmental and economic benefits.

The idea of Harvard Lane reverting back to its historic name of 'Dead Donkey Lane' was also mooted.
