Chiswick House Parking Rates Increase | |||||
Cost will be doubled for short-term parking
Parking charges are set to increase at Chiswick House Grounds – the cost will be doubled for shorter term parking from an existing £1 for 2 hours to £2. The new charges come into effect on Saturday 5 March according to a notice published by Hounslow Council in the Hounslow Chronicle. You will no longer be able to park for 30 minutes for 50p – the minimum charge is now going to be £1.00 for an hour. Parking for 4 hours remains unchanged and instead of a £15 for six hours or over, there is now an all day weekday charge of £25 or a weekend charge of £15. The car park operates Monday to Sunday from 8am to 6pm including Bank Holidays. Car park charges were introduced in December 2012. The parking pay and display fees were from 50p for 30 minutes (minimum charge) then two hourly rates, up to £15 for all day parking. The Council also published a notice in the paper last year of their intention to extend charging for parking at Chiswick House to the Cherry Orchard next to the car park. This is occasionally used as overflow parking when there is an event on at the grounds. February 13, 2016
