BBC CGI team build new vicarage for St Alban's for episode of New Tricks

Sharp eyed viewers watching the episode of BBC's New Tricks broadcast his week will have noticed a local landmark apparently having undergone some major building work in clear breach of planning regulations.

St Alban's Church on Acton Green was doubling up for St. Barnabus' Church in 'Curate's Egg' an episode in the final series of the long running geriatric detective comedy drama broadcast on Monday night (17 August).

CGI experts at the BBC have added a vicarage to the south side of the Church which would have taken up a substantial part of the green space in the area.

Plans to turn the Church into flats were turned down a few years ago.
