William Hogarth School gets cash boost
School
to add a new morning care scheme to the aftercare scheme due to
open in April 2003
The
William Hogarth Primary School in Chiswick is one of the four primary
schools in the Borough to benefit from a £40,000 cash injection
from the New Opportunities Fund. The fund will enable these schools
to create 30 places in new childcare schemes and so provide more
morning and after-school care.
The William Hogarth School will add a new morning care scheme to
the aftercare scheme due to open in April 2003, they were overjoyed
with the extra funding and said it would make a big difference to
them.
The other schools which benefit from this money are Berkeley Primary
School in Heston which will receive a three year grant to provide
morning and aftercare, Hounslow Town Primary School which will set
up a new morning care scheme for a year to run alongside the successful
aftercare and holiday schemes and Lionel Primary School which will
receive a year’s funding for a new aftercare scheme. Each scheme
will be set up and supported by the Primary Community Team
Councillor Colin Ellar, Executive Member for Lifelong Learning,
said, “These new schemes will bring more childcare options for parents
and give them greater opportunities to work without worrying about
the childcare arrangements for their children. We are committed
to continuing to develop more schemes so that more parents have
this opportunity.”
