Brigade battles flames on Riverview Grove

Grove Park home gutted by fire

Fire fighters were called to a fire on Riverview Grove yesterday (Tuesday 19th September) afternoon. 

According to an eye witness "It started at 13.45 by a decorator using a blow torch who left the house to go and get some more gas for his blow torch.

"Without the prompt arrival of the fire brigade (the first engine was from Acton) the adjoining houses would have been more badly damaged than they are, just smoke damage thankfully."
