Thieves On Motorbikes Targeting Cars At Petrol Stations |
Stealing valuables while motorists are paying for fuel The public are being warned to watch out for youths on motorbikes stealing valuables from cars at petrol stations while motorists are inside the shop paying for fuel. The petrol station at Chiswick Roundabout has been a target of this type of incident recently, but it is thought there could be more. Police are warning people not to leave valuables on display while they go inside the petrol station to pay. It is thought the groups often work in pairs with the pillion passenger hopping off the bike to grab the valuables and then jumping back on to make a quick getaway. Theft from vehicles is a constant problem in Chiswick and appears to have increased again recently. June 29, 2016
